CETTS Homepage

Central Examinations, Timetabling and Technical Services (CETTS) plans and manages the University's central space allocations, co-ordinates the central activities for timetabling and examination scheduling, and manages the University’s teaching and examinations scheduling databases and its teaching and examination timetabling web pages.

At present, the University’s timetabling is achieved on an individual faculty basis with central co-ordination. The current role of CETTS is to co-ordinate these individual activities and manage central data downloads. Bristol Business School, Humanities, Languages and Social Sciences (which includes the Inter-School Joint Honours Programme), Education, Law and The School of Creative Arts at St. Matthias Campus have each moved their local timetabling provision to CETTS management.

Examination scheduling and administration is almost entirely managed centrally, and involves the timetabling of both students and invigilators, as well as invigilator orientation and training. It provides advice to faculties on faculty managed examinations, and also manages external examinations and arrangements for students with alternative needs.

The department’s newest function is space management. It provides a definitive data source of all UWE's spaces, undertakes space audits, provides space use analysis and statistical returns.
